Last Thursday Wichita Area Techncial College hosted its Annual Counselor Day. What a fun day! It was nice to spend some valuable time with our colleagues from USD 259 and surrounding areas to share exciting changes happening with the college as well as some great BBQ from Two Brothers BBQ and lots of fun! Guest speakers included President Pete Gustaf, Leslie Berryhill - Senior Learning Officer Health Sciences, Laura Rae Barker - Coordinator of Career Services, and Laura Fowler - Coordinator of Activites and Events. Counselors were able to take tours of the newly renovated Southside Education Center facilities, including Science Labs, Dental Labs, Nursing Labs, Library and Testing Centers as well as Bookstore. I would like to give a big thanks for all those who helped plan the event as well as all of the counselors who took time from their busy schedules to attend.
